It is amazing how no one seems to have any answer to my query. Please reply as my visa expiry date is drawing nearer.

Any helpful response would be appreciated.

Thanks

You can apply for ILR 28 days before your visa expires. Make sure that you've passed Life in UK test before you apply because you will need to include the test certificate.

thanks

I have recently passed Life in the UK test. I enetered in the UK on 11 Sept 2005 as a spouse on a visa issued on 24 Aug 2005. Can anyone kindly tell me when do I apply for ILR? Is it before 24 Aug or 11 Sept?

I tried getting information from the Home Office but there phone service is useless. I was constantly given run arounds. It is ridicuous given the fact that they are charging us £750 for the service.

Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks

You have to use FLM form available from Croydan & apply 28 days before the expiry. You need a lot of documents to prove that you are living together still, & it would be usefull to get the application to get prepared.

Was the test easy? Did you have tp prepare for it for a long time?
