Good evening and Happy New Year,

I would very much appreciate an advice on my situation.

I am an EU national (Slovakia) and I moved to London in 2011 following my marriage to a British citizen.

After 7 months, I found a job and hold the position for 2 years (including maternity leave). I did not return to work after my maternity expired in April 2014 and I am currently a stay at home mum. Our family have been covered by a full comp insurance since November 2013.

I would like to become British eventually and realised that I need to apply for EEA3 in order to be able to apply. I understand I need to wait at least until 2016 (5  years' period) to be eligible for permanent residency.

I am just bit confused - Now, I am in a cat of self-sufficient applicants but I used to work. I didn't have private insurance when working between 2012-2014, but I paid tax and I have never been on benefits. Will that be okay or I have to count 5 years from November 2013 when we took out the fully comp cover (assuming I am still self-sufficient when applying)

Thank you in advance for your help
