This is the rule:

You are not out of the country for more then 90 days in last 12 months. 270 days in the last three (Marriage basis) years or 450 days in the last Five years.

Hi Fidan,

You mean no way i can apply for naturalisation ?

i explain my status again.

1. I got ILR upon completing 4 yrs stay on ( 30 Mar 2006 )

2. I was away from UK for 9 months ( from 1 Apr 2006 - 31 Dec 2006)

3. I returned to UK on 1 Jan 2007.

Q1. Can't i wait one more year,i.e till 1 Jan 2008,  from my date of arrival to

UK( 1 JAN 2007 ), and apply for naturalisation ?

Q2.  Won't they(Home office) treat this period as LAST year for my application ?

Pleae Help

Thanks

Satish

You should be able to apply 1st of January 2008 or afterwards providing that you were not away for more than 450 days since 1st January 2003.
