Hi Gurung

If your IELTS is expired you need to take another equivalent English test for your naturalisation purpose. See the additional text from English requirement from Home Office website.

If you have a qualification that was taught or researched in English you can meet the English language part of the Knowledge of Language and Life requirement and will not need to show a formal speaking and listening qualification.  You can meet this part of the requirement if your qualification:

  • is deemed by UK NARIC to meet the recognised standard of a Bachelor's or Master's degree or PhD in the UK, or

  • was taught or researched in an English speaking country other than Canada.

You will need to send your certificate as evidence of your qualification.

Hope this will help. Cheers. Maruf

Hello Guys,

Is it true that an unfortunate change happened again in regards to the language  requirements for Naturalisation. I am due to apply for Naturalisation this March after I obtained my ILR in April 2013 based on old settlements rule as a spouse of British  citizen, I passed my Life in UK before applying  ILR. If yes where do I get this language test centre informations? I would appreciate and welcome everybody's advices.

Thanks
