I don't have the book anymore but I think the percentag ethat they took is not out of UK Population but from the mixed population.  It seems there might be a small mistake here for comparison.  If you have the book it will state the accurate information.

Can someone please check and post it here.

This is beacuse the numbers are rounded. Actual figures are:

Mixed    : 677117
Pakistani: 747285

Bear in mind the infirmation in gthe book is based on the 2001-census and it will not be up-to-date.

Just a small observation I noted whilst trying to memorise the population statistics .... the Mixed population is 0.7 million = 1.2% and the Pakistani population is also 0.7 million, but is 1.3%. same number, but different percentage????
