Dear Sir/Madam

Now more than two months so far nothing reply by Home Office, why so much time taking to give decision. I apply for my ILR on 9th April 2009 but by mistake I send old form and wrong fees cheque £750.They send me acknowledgement letter and I re-applied for ILR on 7th May 2009 and the money is been withdrawn from my bank on 15th May 2009. How long does the Home Office take to give decision and will they send me an acknowledgement letter to let us know that they are doing our case, or straight away they give decision for my ILR without giving an acknowledgement letter.

If you kindly help me in this matter, I will be grateful to you

Hi Francis, in many cases ILR takes longer,I had mine after being waiting them 6 months, not because your case is complicated but due to the large number of applications they have at Home Office. If the money is withdrawn from your bank account that means that they process your application for ILR.Good luck.
