Don't worry, as from Jan 2010 the rules of immigration are changing so maximum number of people want to apply before that so there is a big queue of applications in home office.
However no news is a good news.
I will suggest you to wait a month more before contacting home office, by that time I hope you will hear some good news.

As far as I know after 14 weeks you can call home office to trace your application, as I am waiting nearly 10 weeks but until now I also did not receive anything.

I apply for my ILR on 7th May 2009 and the money is been withdrawn from my bank on 15th May 2009. How long does the Home Office take to give decision now more than five and half months.
