I wonder if I would need to study properly Chapters 1 and 5-8 of the book. Those who have passed the test probably would be able to anwer my question. If at all it is needed, is it necessary to study in detail every aspect of the above chapters?

If you like to read those chapters, you will get some extra information usefull for your general knowledge.  Also some of these chapters are referred in Chapter 2, 3 and 4. However, it is absolutely not necessary to read those chapters for the Test Purpose. Test is only from chapter 2, 3 and 4.
