Waheed Malik you always give the best advice, and you are absolutely right in this case too of course. I went to my local Nationality Checking service today and they checked all my papers and form, photocopied everything and stamped them to say they had seen the originals. It cost me £30 for their services and £268 for home office. I think it was well worth using their services as, if I were to have made any mistakes they would have picked up on it.

This link will give you all the information and you will find your own local one there. I hope it helps, if not ask again, us future brits got to stick togather.

The Nationality Checking Service is a partnership between the Home Office Immigration & Nationality Directorate and local councils in England and Wales. It allows those people applying for British citizenship to make their applications, in person, at their local council offices. For a small fee,
participating councils will check that applications are completed correctly and have been submitted with all the necessary supporting documents and the correct fee. They will photocopy and certify valuable documents such as passports and will send the applications to the Home Office by special delivery post. Complete applications can be dealt with more quickly than those that are incomplete. Those using the service will be able to keep their passports rather than sending them to the Home Office.

May be Mr. Fida can create separate area for "After you pass the test"
I hope this helps everyone.

1.  Find your nearest Citizen Advisory Beureau (CAB) try this site:
http://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/

CAB can help  you with your application.  They will also provide forms and help in filling these forms.

2. Get information from the Home Office:
http://www.ind.homeoffice.gov.uk/ind/en/home/applying/british_nationality.html

Try not to send the passport as it is taking approximatelt 4-6 months for application to be processed. Also it is not a wise idea to send passport in case you need to travel in emergency. They don't need your passport as you will get a new one when you will become a British national.

Here is the text from Home office web site
"If you wish to apply for British citizenship and you plan to travel abroad within 12 weeks of making an application, you should not send in original passports or travel documents with your application. You may send in copies of documents certified by a solicitor. Each page of a passport must be copied."

It is important that you contact Home office in writing if you change your address or if you need any information.  I reqested the Nationalization forms from this e-mail. I hope they will send me.
