You must withdraw your claim first of all. It is better not to be claiming any benefits at the time of ILR application.

Hi,


can anyone suggest me.


i will be eligible for ILR in two months time. i am receiving child benefit for the past four months. will it affect my ILR as it states in my work permit, no recourse to public funds.


when i applied for child benefit, i informed them about this.


i received a letter from them stating that i can receive chid benefit.


what should i do?

You should transfer CB to someone else if possible as the benefits agencies don't really know who is eligible and who isn't so could pay you in error. But you can email a query to the UK borders website to find out if you are allowed to claim it or not. You will have to provide bank statements for 3 months so you should do this soon.
