Has anyone dealt with this?
I know that people applying for citizenship must state on their application that the UK is their intended place of residence, but this doesn't apply to applicants like me who are married to UK citizens.
I'm going to be moving abroad around the time my citizenship will be granted, and would rather have the ceremony abroad than have to stay here and wait for the ceremony. The Home Office site states that those who are abroad can have their ceremonies conducted at their nearest consulate. Has anyone done this that can offer advice on this?
I was wondering how long it takes, if there's an additional fee, and if it's a huge hassle that's best avoided?
Thanks!
