Betty is right - the bank holidays are Easter Monday, the first and last Mondays in May and the last Monday in August. The rest of the holidays are public holidays.
Scotland get an extra public holiday as the 1st & 2nd of January are holidays for Hogmoanay there. The Scottish summer bank holiday is also on the first Monday in August instead of the last.
It is a bit different in Northern Ireland - where they get the 17th March for St Patrick's day and 12th July for the anniversary of the Battle of the Boyne as well.
