I am surprised that he got a reply on his %. I asked and was told that you either pass or fail, but no other details. I guess each test centre has its own rules & regulations!

Anyways congratulations to him! I keep saying that I wouldn't know how I would've done had I not found this site! Everyone helps & builds each others confidence up!

I think it slipped out in the excitement! The person who oversaw the test was as excited and as pleased for my husband as my husband was himself. That was a pleasant surprise.

Also he was asked to 'pay up front' as he was told there have been instances where someone sat the test, failed and then walked out without paying.

Like you said each test centre differs, this is Scotland too, so the test itself would have included questions that relate directly to Scotland as our laws are differebt to those of England.

Got the AN new froms already and will be compleeting them later today.

Hi,
I passed the test yestarday. I think if you are well prepared (meaning know the 3 chapters almost from words to word especially statistical data and dates) then you will not have probelm passing. I stated reading the book a week before the test, but I was studying real hard 2-3 days before the exam. What is easy about the test is the method of assesment (multiple choice questions), and the length of time available (45 minutes for 24 questions)

Be well prepared, especially look through the most difficult chapter ("How Britain is governed") and then you will pass for the first time and will not waist  £34 and your time!

Good luck!

Hi :)

I passed the test on Thursday. Many thanks for the team of the site and the forum members :)

Whoever intends to seat for the test MUST first study the 3 chapters thoroughly. we were 12 taking the test but only 4 of us passed 😞.

I have finished the test in 3mns but i have started preparing for it since the beginning of July .

Good luck to everyone ;-)

My husband passed his 'Life in the UK' test today. he said the questions were not difficult as everything had been covered in the book. He said that the way the questions were worded could make them hard to understand, so read very carefully. He got 82% and it took him 15 minutes so he some time left of his lunch hour.

Good luck to everyone else :-D
