As one American to another, I think you'll find you're more likely to pass the Life in the UK test if you spell Test Centre with a R-E. 😉

Best of luck to you, Ellen. 🙂

Hello William,

Thanks for the input.  I am doing fine with the practice tests & have all the confidence in the world that I will pass the test when it is time for me to take it.  Regardless whether I spell center this way or this way "centre."

I still do things the American way & that includes my spelling, and anything else pertaining to America.  I respect the British way of doing things but I'm not giving up my right to be the person I want to be, just because I'm over here.

Also, my husband who is a UK citizen & has gone to University here in the UK was told that a person needed to be consistent with their writing.  To use either American English or UK English but not to mix up the two.  I have chosen to continue with American English & he does UK English which can bring about some very interesting conversations between us.

Thank you,

Ellen

Errm. Ellen. It wasn't my intention to touch a nerve. Personally, I'm a 'when in Rome' kind of guy; but, in fact, my comments were intended as friendly little joke. (Hence the smilies.) Again, best of luck to you.

I had previously found a test center only 13 miles from where I live.  I was just checking for varification as to address & phone number so that I would know who to call & where to go when time to take the test.  However, the location is no longer online.  All they have are test centers in London.  Are  test centers lutside of London still in existence or what is going on?
