have you already applied for the naturalization? if you haven't still yet then how are you applying through? directly to the home office or through NCS (nationality checking service). My wife and I had applied on 15 november, received confirmation letter on 23rd november, received application approval letter on 17th dec., its just in 2-3 weeks. NCS centers do charge for an extra cost. you can search on google and check your nearest center. good luck.

well..i did apply back in October, the only thing i received was aletter from them saying i did int fill in my bank details correctly so had to send back that form again in which they deducted the application money and ceremony...since then they have been silent and i am getting tired of coming back home every evening expecting a brown envelope from Liverpool

as far as I remember you don't have to pay anything for the ceremony. i have booked ceremony for both of us and I haven't been told about any fees

i suggest you call the liverpool office and check the status of your  application because 2 weeks ago my friend contacted home office and guess what the home office sent the citizenship invitation at his old address which he had left 3 yrs ago, its worth calling them up.
