Am I correct into assuming that having an Dutch passpoort and being part of EEA means I do not need to show proof that I've been physically present in the UK for the past 5 years with employment letters, educational letters etc?

Thanks in advance

**EDIT**

And on 1.2 of the naturalisation application it says to provide the date that you were given ILR status in the UK.. Now I haven't applied for ILR status because I was told I got it automatically as an EEA citizen after 5 years, but this new law came into practise on 30th of April 2006 so does that mean my ILR status came into effect on that date or 5 years exactly after I entered this country?

Thanks

EEC citizens have the right to live and work in the UK and do  not need to apply for ILR. Yiu are granted that status after 5 years legal residence in the UK, as from 30th April 2006 you do not need to apply anymore, you still can if you wish, but for naturalisation purposes it is not needed.

But the residence requeirements for EEC citisens is of 6 years now, as you need 5 years to get ILR and then you muts hold the ILR for at least 12 months before applying.

You must be able to proove that you have been excersising your treaty rights for 5 years before ILR with P60 certificates, letters of your employer(s), council tax bills, if you are self employed your tax records, if you are a students letters of the educational institutions, all is is very clealy explained in the guidelines in the Immigration web sites.
