Hi, did you apply for your ILR before 6April2009?if yes you have to pay the old fees.If you had applied after 6April2009, so you have to pay in full the new fees. You could always visit the UKborder Agency website for new information.

How long do I need to wait for their reply because now going to be one month since  I send my application on 9th April 2009 to Home Office. when  I need to send right fees? Will it be any problem to my application.

Dear Sir/Madam


I apply for my ILR last month 9th April 2009 but by mistake I send old form and wrong fees cheque £750. I am still waiting for their reply of my application. Please kindly could you tell me, what they do to my application, they will grant my application and asked for me a new form and right fees and send back me the old form and cheque.


If you tell me I will be grateful to you

Hi Francis,


First of all, what date had you written in your application form? Was it before 6 April or after it? If it's before that, they MIGHT ignore your mistake as you have just post it 4 days later.


 Secondly, have they taken the money from your account or not yet? If yes, your application is under process and you should keep waiting for their call. If not, the best thing to do is getting in touch with them as soon as you can and ask them what you should do.


Depending on your application type, they are being processed within 6 months. So instead of waiting, try to call them and consult with them.
