I applied for british citizenship about 8wks ago in the UK. 4wks after i lodged the application i was charged to court with a shoplifting offence. i have not been convicted yet. does anybody know whether i should inform the home office about it or wud they find out about the charges anyway.am confused about wat to do bcos i dont want the issue to affect my application if i tell them.
i think they have done the police check before i got charged. I called them up 2weeks ago and i was told that they are still dealing wit my application but i have some friends that applied after i lodged my application and they av been granted citizenship. is there anybody in the house that has similar experience
