Hi there,

I went to the Public Enquiry Office on 27th November 2009 to apply in person for Indefinite Leave to Remain.

After 6 hours there I was told my application was valid but that it could not be processed because of some sort of status on my name/account. The lady was extremely apologetic but said she did not know why, what the code/status was and said it was quite unusual.

She also told me it was not a problem with my paperwork supplied on the day as that was all reasonably straightforward.

I have had to leave my passport and documents with them - unfortunately I fly out to get married back home on the 5th Feb 2010! I appreciate it is their busiet time of year but I am now very stressed I won't get my passport back in time.

Has anyone else had this problem and if so, how long did it them take for your ILR application to be processed (following your visit to the PEO)?

Many thanks.
