Whoever has advised you that you need to provide bank statements for naturalisation application is a complete idiot. There is no need whatsoever to provide any bank statements at all with naturalisation application. Please read the application form carefully and only provide what is mentioned in the application form. There is no point in attaching un-necessary irrelevant documents with your application.

I have been advised to provide 3 months' bank statements for submission with the naturalisation application, even though I am employed and work fulltime. Could you please advise whether there is an requirement for a minimum balance on the bank account? I only have several hundred pounds on my current account. Will my application be rejected because of that? Thank you!

Hello Kristin

I hope this reply will not be too late for you. You do need to prove that you have had £800 in your bank account for 3 months. However, if you have previously proven that you have had this amount in your bank account in a previous visa application, you will not need to show you have these funds. If this is not the case, you will need to borrow the money and leave it sitting in your account.

I hope this helps
