I applied for my ILR SET(O) on 10 years basis in 4th MARCH 2010 with all documents as mentioned on a form, after four days I've got an acknowledgement with their reference. Like other people, I am also still waiting for their reply. I didnt relaise the process would take that much long cause of according to Home Office there are some outstanding back log application.

I am start getting worried because my wife's came to the UK in MARCH 2008 as on 2years work permit as my dependent visa and her visa is running out by the end of next month. I've got baby now, who is only five (5) weeks old. I've contacted Home Office and explain the situation they are saying my wife and kid have to leave the country and re-apply again once i'll get my ILR/PR OR they refer me to contact Immigration Advisory Service.

I want to know is there any way to apply for her visa extension while she is here in UK and I am waiting for my ILR application.

I would be very greatful if anyone advise me on this serious matter please asap.
