Hello all

Need some advise on applying for citizenship. Been u.k for 7yrs. I originally had discretionary grant of leave to remain which expired after 2 years. I applied for ILR in time and my application turned out to be a legacy case which led to me being granted ILR 4months ago. As I have been in the country lawfully for the past 7 years. How long till I can apply for citizenship? Or can I do it now?

You need to hold ILR for 12 months before applying for citizenship.

There are pretty generous limits on how long you can be outside the UK (450 days over the last 5 years before application) - just be sure not to be outside the UK for more than 90 days in this final year.
