Hi,

my son is registered on my wife's passport and we will apply for the extension of Tier 1 visa and also my son's Tier 1 dependent visa in 2 months. We will finish 5 years at the end of the year and need to apply again for settlement in December. Does it make sense to have a new passport for my son and get his new visa on his new passport or keep him on wife's passport? is there any issue for settlement or citizenship in terms of having a child on mother's passport or having a different passport ? or changing it midway.
