I have been doing a research and reading some of the advice here in your website. By the way this is a very helpful resource thank you for the help.

I am married to a Auk citizen and we have a 5 y old born also British. Economic situation has been really difficult this past 5 months which made us think of applying for an expansion of the visa instead of the ILR. I can put the money together for the visa which is about 970 pounds, but I am wondering if there is a high risk of being rejected because of our current situation.
My question is there little chance to get either of the visas if we are struggling with money and my husband does not have a full time job?
I have been working all this past 2 years but I also relay on family helping me with living costs.
In the worse case scenario is possible that I have to leave the country? Is there any way to recourse to stay here if I have a job and a family?

Thank you so much for the help this means so much to us.

A family application should not be refused on maintenance ground only, so if this is the only weak point in your application, I would take the risk.
