From 28th october it will known as KOLL. Tt will be required for settlement (ILR) as well as naturalisation.

It will have two parts:

1. Pass a life in the UK test.

2. Have a english language qualification in speaking and listening of level B1 cefr or above.

If someone passed a life in the UK test before 28th october then they do not need to do it again. If someone submitted liuk test while applying for ILR then they only need B1 qualification.

Hi
Home Office website says, From 28 October there will also be changes to the way applicants for indefinite leave to remain are required to demonstrate their knowledge of the English language and of life in the UK. Does anyone know if English will also be required for Naturalization application?
Many thanks.
