My wifes extension visa is running out, as soon as next month and I only just realised.

she has been here for a total of 4 years...we have 2 children, born in the uk, she is still learning english.

what do I apply for? another extension? can I apply for permanent stay without her english certificate based on the fact she has been here 4 years, nearly 5 very soon and we have two children?
