Hi
My wife is working part-time until today. But her Spouse visa ran out yesterday. We have sent the ILR application since 28th Nov 2011 that we haven't received back yet. We got the acknowledgement letter from the home office saying it is progress. My question is that whether or not she is allowed to work while the application is in progress. Or, any way we can find out whether the application has been processed or not?

Dear KM 95,


Your wife will be able to seek and take up employment in the United Kingdom as soon as the document is granted without the need to arrange a UK work permit. British marriage visas do not place any restrictions upon the type of work that can be undertaken. Hope this helps.
