Yea, start a full time job to ensure he is removed from the country for working in breach of his visa conditions.

If they cannot meet financial requirement, then the only way is surinder sing route.

I have a friend who is on student visa, got married to a british last two month ago. he want to apply for spouse visa but his wife is not working, just receiving benefits. Hence, my friend will not qualify based on minimum income streshold.
Should my friend start a fulltime job to qualife? I wellcome a sensible sugestion plz. Thanks
