dele Akande [1/04/09, 18:05]: Thanks for your response Sammy but hope it is not against the law to be working without an acknowledgement letter and i believe they suppose to send me the letter when they have deducted the application fee.or is it because i applied 6 days to the qualifying period .I am just not happy about it because how come the fees will be deducted and no acknowledgement letter since then and it is more than 4 weeks now.and most people do get the letter immediately at worst 2 weeks.Please tell me more hoow a spouse applying for ilr is processed.Thanks and waiting to read from you

Hi Dele, in many cases it take more than 4 weeks because they are very busy.They will send you a letter or they may ask you to attend an interview for ILR. Are you sure that you have send your valid passport ( not an expired passport)  and the marriage certificate ?
