IMHO, YOUR own arrival will be counted as the date of entry. On the application form, they don't ask about your dependants' date of arrival. I think you can apply in 2007, but you also may check this by calling IND.

I am in the UK as work permit holder. I obtained my work permit in 2002 and it is going to be 5 years in few months time. But my wife entered the UK as my dependent in July 2004. I heard that person who seeks to apply for ILR has to spent 5 years in the UK in order to qualify for ILR. Does this law also apply to dependent? Or does she have to wait until she spends 5 years or she can submit ILR application along with my in few months time? I would be most grateful if anyone can help me.
