You have just wasted your money applying for her passport. British passports are issued to British Citizens, and she is not a British Citizen, simple.

If she was born after you got ILR, then she would be a British Citizen at birth.
But you can now register her as British Citizen, which is an easy process. After that you can apply for her British Passport if she needs to travel.

Do you appear as her father on her birth certificate?

thanks for the response and explanation. yes, in her birth certificate i appear as her father there.
how do i register her as a British Citizen then? What am i required to do now?

And you didn't mention my own past i asked about.....my naturalisation...do i stand a chance.

Please guild line me on the necessary steps to take now.

You apply for her to be registered as british citizen. Search for form MN(1) on UKBA website. 

I don't get what you are trying to ask about your naturalisation? what is the issue?

Thanks for the response again Mr Lookforward.

How much is the fee attached to the registration for her being a British Citizen and by the end of the registration are they giving her ILR? or what is she going to be issued? 

Concerning my own naturalisation. What i asked about is that....

I applied for a naturalisation for myself. Because i have married my British wife since 2009 and i have not being out of this country since then. Just wanna know my application can go through or is there any reason to panic?? Or have i applied wrongly??

I suggest you go and have a look at the form I told you about and also read about the guidance. Its all there on UKBA website. Rather than me having to do the leg work, read and then give the info to you, you should go and fish out this info yourself. 

Why would she get ILR? When she is registered as a British Citizen, then she will be a British Citizen. Why on earth would a British Citizen need an ILR?

hello there. I have a daughter from another woman, thou i am married to a British woman and i got my indefinite leave to remain in December 2012 after completing the 2 year Limited leave to remain. but i had my daughter February 2012 from another woman unknown to my wife. i have applied for her British passport and expecting a respond but i want to know if she stands a change to get her passport. meanwhile i just put in for my naturalisation this week because i have been married to my British wife since 2009. I also want to know where i stand too.

I will appreciate if i can be enlighten please.
