As long as he does not apply for benefits, there is no problem as. You can apply for benefits base on your right as citizen or someone who is settled in the UK and live together. As long as he is not the reason why you are getting benefits. If he is working then it is very easy. But be very careful about council tax benefits because it is a bit complex.

hi everyone,

My husband has been granted a spouse visa in June 2013. I am interested to know if there are any benefits which are exempt from the "NO Recourse To Public Funds" printed on his visa.

Also what would happen when it is time for applying to extend his visa, if i was to claim housing benefit.

thanks for your help, in advance
