More important than anything are her circumstances back home and not your sponsorship.

How old is she? What is her nationality?  Marital status? Children if any? Employment? Income?

Oh Gosh, as I didn't receive any email notifying someone had replied to this post, I've missed it.

Answer to the questions:

She is 29 years old, Iranian, single, no children, head of research and development at a cancer research lab.  Her salary in Pounds seems low (£600 pcm) but good in Iran currency.  She has £1ooo savings left in her UK bank account since last Jan when she left the UK after her graduation.

Thank you for your kind cooperation.

Chances of getting a visa are slim, but she can give it a shot. It will be best if she wants to come for 2-3 weeks.

She must give good documentary proofs of her ties to home country, like employment slips, tax papers, bank statements, employer's letters confirming her employment and leave for the duration of her visit to UK. Basically anything that shows she has strong enough ties to her home country that will make her go back, and not overstay in UK.

Thank you very much for your advice.

We will ask for a shorter duration of max one month which can cover a good period of help we can get from her.

Do we need to show a letter to prove my wife's pregnancy condition, like the date of delivery and pregnancy age?

Do you have any idea how we should prove she is my wife's niece?

Thanks very much.

Guys,

As we are going to have our first baby and have no one to help us, we would like to invite my wife's niece as an assistant.  Our mothers are both too old to be of help.  Also, her niece has studied her MSc in the UK and knows English and the environment very well.  There are a few questions and I would be thankful if someone could share knowledge and experience.

1) Is that a common decision to invite a level two member of relative where mothers are not available?  I mean, does such a decision make sense?

2) How can I calculate the amount of fund we should demonstrate to support a 3 month sponsorship?

3) Is "General Visit" the right type of visa she should apply for - she is going to stay for 3 months?

4) Does she need to demonstrate evidence for her own available funds although we sponsor her application and living cost?

5) Her niece has an inbound (Home to UK) flight ticket.  As demonstrating flight ticket is compulsory within the application process, would that suffice if we only provide her outbound ticket and she uses her own inbound ticket?

Thank you very much for your help.
