Hi All, 

Myself and my partner who lives in Trinidad have been together on and off for 5years, since 2009, i travel there once or twice a month, for 3 months at a time i once lived there for 7 months, and we have a 2 year old daughter together, after having my daughter i travel once a year for 2-3 weeks, ive matured now and we've both decided after a rocky road its time to make a go of things properly, expand the family and make a life together in the UK. We are now engaged. But dont want to rush marriage.

Im unsure of what VISA he should apply for, initially i looked at the 2 year partner visa, but we need to be living together for 2 years to apply for that. Which isnt possible as i dont want to live here and he cant live here legally without a visa, so im not really sure how to go about this.

Can someone please give me a little advice.
