Good day,

I have been here legally for 10 years and would like to apply for ILR. I am pretty sure there have been no breaks in my visas - but is it worth applying for a freedom of information file (SAR)?

The biggest problem I have right now is that I lost my old passport. The current one was issued in 2004. So basically it seems like I have no way to prove that I have not been out of the country for more than 18 months?

I get my passport stamped and scanned every time I enter the UK, but not when I leave, so it seems like my old passport was the only source of such information.

I have been a full time student for most of the time, and have been employed full time over the last 4 years. Is it a lost cause applying without my old passport?

Thanks.
