It means that they've received the application and taken the fee - nothing more, I'm afraid. They may have started work on it, they may not...

And if you've looked through other posts in this forum, you'll have seen that processing times are, frankly, anyone's guess. We know that the advertised average waiting time as at the end of October is 4.46 months. And we know that few applications take more than six months. So far this year, I've seen reports of applications taking anything between a couple of weeks and 6 months, and everything in between.

Hi

I used the Nationality Checking Service on 1st Nov and decided to pay £268 by Credit Card. My Credit Card was billed on 9th November by the Home Office. Does anyone know if it means they started processing my appplication? How long before I get the invitation to the ceremony?
