I am not familiar with any country that will keep your oldpassport when you renew it. You have not mentioned whatever happened to theoriginal passport so I am inclined to guess that you have lost it or do notwant to produce it for Home Office records. There are other ways to prove that you were in the country like your Taxrecord, bills and wages. I can go on and on but if I don't understand yourquestion I will not be doing justice to your question. I suggest that youask a simple question in a simple way with all the facts. If you entered UK legally thenthere are many ways you can prove because home office is more interested in thedate you entered and not in your country's passport. Your Native Countrypassport is for your use only. Please specify your question in detail, such as why this passport cannot beproduce or what happened to it in the first place?Hope you will reword your question. Thanks
"Most countries give you back your old passport when they issue you a new one (unless of course it was because you lost it). They normally put a few 'Cancelled' stamps in it and cut one of the corners off."
