Hi, just want to re-ask this question if anyone has had similar experiences they can share. Has anyone ever been refused a brit passport ? Thankyou.

They ask you questions from your actual passport application -- they want to know if you can confirm the information that's been filled in on the form. They also ask questions from publicly accessible records such as your electoral roll records ('Are you on the electoral roll?') and your credit file ('Where do you have bank accounts; when were they opened?'). That sort of thing.

They say during the interview that they will delete the information once the interview is completed. However, it's exactly the sort of information that, if the ID card database plans are carried through, they will one day keep.

If you are who you say you are then there is absolutely nothing to fear.

rehearse date of births and card numbers, if you are not good with dates like me.
